Introduction: 立所宗旨-癌症生物學研究所(Graduate Institute of Cancer Biology ,簡稱GICB)成立於民國96年8月。本所以「探索癌症機理、轉譯生物醫學」為設立宗旨,秉持「From Bench to Bedside」的理念,致力於提供學生在癌症生物學研究領域中多元化的訓練及尋找致癌因子的基礎科學研究,期望能將癌症之研究帶至臨床發展。碩士班的學程設計除了提供傳統研究所訓練外,亦強調藉由「理念啟蒙」、「思考激發」、「學術交流」及「醫療關懷」等教育目標,確保每位學生皆具備發展獨立性研究的必要基礎知識、技術及素養,成為下一代癌症生物領域菁英。 特色-1.是全台唯一以“癌症生物學”為名之研究所。並聘有國內外專精癌症領域之教師團隊。本所每位教師之研究成果多發表於國際期刊,且每位老師皆有多年期研究計畫正在執行。 2.結合本校醫學院學程,提供本所學生全方位且多元化的學習與研究環境。 3.本所除了既有的基本細胞生物學暨分子生物學研究之相關設備外, 並與附設醫院之分子醫學中心共同使用其在蛋白質體、基因體及分子影像研究領域上的高科技系統設備。 4.本所與國際知名癌症研究中心,例如:M.D. Anderson Cancer Center有密切的學術交流,以達國際化及增進國內癌症生物學研究之水準。
